Celebration is an exciting orchestral piece full of energy and power, originally written to celebrate the rebirth of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra.

Commissioned by Ruth and Marvin Engel, Celebration was given six performances by the National Symphony Orchestra under the batons of Leonard Slatkin and Barry Jakowski. It is now the official theme music of the International Computer Programming Contest and has been performed in Smetana Hall, Prague, The Czech Republic, with Maestro Jan Valta conducting the Prague Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra and in Shanghai, Peoples Republic of China, under the baton of Maestro Cao Peng, conducting the Shao Tung University Symphony Orchestra.
